I was born in Yorktown, Virginia (site of the decisive battle of the Revolutionary War) and received an engineering degree from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University.
After school, I moved to Dallas, Texas, to work in finance at American Airlines and went on to become chief financial officer for a number of high-tech companies, including Sabre, Trilogy, Vignette, and Workfront. At one point, we sold a company I worked for, and since then I’ve split my time between working as a freelance CFO and writing Joe Robbins financial thrillers.
With each novel, Joe works for a different company, and his knack for finding truth in the numbers always lands him in a new batch of trouble. I rely on my experiences as a CFO to incorporate credible fraud schemes and other corporate malfeasance into the plots. In my corporate life, I’ve come across fewer corpses than Joe, but I never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
I love writing Joe Robbins thrillers. They are the kind of books I like to read, filled with interesting characters, fast dialogue, twisting plots, and lots of action.
The Joe Robbins Series
A Fateful Greed
A Just Rage
A Siren’s Love
Each novel in the series can be read on a standalone basis.
In 2019, I will publish the fourth Joe Robbins novel—Die Santorini Style—along with my first novel outside the series: Only Yes Means Yes, which relates a crime-in-progress at a location near you.
